Banks Builders began as a vision that grew into a respected contracting company on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Justin and Meredith Kate, the company reflects their deep passion for coastal living, community, and quality craftsmanship. Justin, a Carteret County native and licensed contractor, returned to his roots after years as a competitive angler, while Meredith Kate, with experience serving coastal counties, is dedicated to fostering local connections. Starting with small-scale projects, Banks Builders steadily expanded, mastering every aspect of home construction. Today, as an unlimited licensed general contractor, the company is committed to building timeless residential and commercial spaces with expertise and integrity.

Growing up in Eastern Carolina, Justin fell in love life at the coast. After years of traveling the world for work, he settled back home in Cape Carteret and started Banks Builders. Justin and his wife began the company in 2019 with a mission to build homes to keep their community safe and strong. His love for his community drives him to build above the standard, always staying abreast of best practices within the industry.

Meredith Kate Petrilli
