Banks Builders was born from a vision that has since blossomed into a distinguished contracting company on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.

Owners, Justin and Meredith Kate, a husband-and-wife duo, share a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors and a long-standing dream of nurturing both their family and a business by the eastern North Carolina coast. "Banks Builders is more than home building; it serves as our pathway to give back to the community we hold dear," says Owner Meredith Kate Petrilli.

Hailing from Carteret County, Justin cultivated his love for fishing, hunting, and surfing against the scenic backdrop of Cape Carteret. He spent time navigating the open waters as a competitive angler only to return to his roots in Cape Carteret to serve as North Carolina licensed contractor.

Meredith Kate has always felt at home near the water. She began her career serving the coastal counties of Onslow, Carteret, and New Hanover, where she developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and preferences of coastal communities. At Banks Builders she aims to foster connections and support the growth of her local community.

The company first started in the industry on small-scale jobs, working alongside trades of the community and learning the intricacies of each component of the home building process. Over time, as expertise expanded, Banks Builders delved into larger projects, honoring its’ vision for crafting quality homes. Today, Banks Builders stands as an unlimited licensed general contracting entity, dedicated to creating timeless residential and commercial spaces.
